Overtime swing at Gill Coliseum

Oregon State closed its final home game of the regular season with a 92-82 overtime victory over the University of San Diego on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis. The result moved the Beavers to 16-14 overall and 9-8 in West Coast Conference play, while the Toreros fell to 11-19 and 5-12.

The game turned on a late sequence in regulation: Oregon State built an eight-point lead inside the final minute, but San Diego erased it with a rapid barrage that forced extra time. A tying 3-pointer at the horn sent the teams to overtime, where Oregon State separated with steadier execution and a stronger finish at the foul line.

Sy and Lake drive a multi-scorer effort

Isaiah Sy and Josiah Lake II combined for 31 points and supplied much of Oregon State’s late-game stability. Sy posted a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Lake had 15 points and nine assists. Oregon State also placed five players in double figures, led by Johan Munch with 19 points and eight rebounds, and Jorge Diaz Graham with 17 points in what was identified as his final game at Gill Coliseum. Olavi Suutela added 14 points.

San Diego’s late push forces overtime

San Diego’s rally featured multiple timely perimeter shots in the closing seconds of regulation, including a late 3-pointer that cut the deficit to one and the final triple that forced overtime. The Toreros were led by Toneari Lane with 24 points. Juan Sebastian Gorosito scored 17 points and recorded four assists, and Tim Moore Jr. finished with 12 points.

After trailing late, San Diego forced overtime with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer, but Oregon State controlled the extra period.

Context: a season series defined by overtime

The February 25 meeting was the second overtime game between the programs this season. On January 31, 2026, Oregon State won 78-76 in overtime in San Diego after closing regulation on an 11-1 run. In that earlier matchup, Lake scored 12 points with eight assists and hit a late 3-pointer that helped extend the game.

Oregon State’s regular season was set to conclude with a road game at Santa Clara on Saturday.
